Great detail on the wings and feathers, are they really blue on the head? I have never seen one close up, gets a like from me.

Great sharp detailed shot, i am not overkeen on the colours, as i think these are a very pretty underrated bird.
I have seen your explanation on the colours (thank you) sharpening alters contrast etc. as well, which you have found out.

A fantastic close up of this bird. Focus is nice and sharp - you can see the reflection in it's eye. Maybe could do with a little noise reduction, but still excellent. Well done.
