The MyFinePix site (the “Site”) is a community where members can share photographic experiences with people all over the world.
The following guidelines (the “Guidelines”) are here to help you understand what it means to be a MyFinePix member.
Your use of the Site is subject to these Guidelines and our Terms of Service and any amendments, changes or updates thereto that are posted on this site. If there is any inconsistency between these Guidelines and our Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall prevail. For additional details on any of the items noted below, please consult the Terms of Service.
Please Do
- Please do be nice!
We're a diverse community of many types of people, who all have the right to share images, thoughts and ideas. Other members may not think what you think, believe what you believe or see what you see. These differences are what make the place so interesting so please do be polite and respectful in your interactions with other members. - Please only upload content that is yours to upload.
Respect the copyrights and intellectual property rights of others. Among other things, this means don't upload photos or videos that belong to others and use them as your own. - Please do spread the word about the MyFinePix community.
You can use content you provided here on other websites. If you decide to do this, please provide a link back to the Site, provided, of course, such link is in accordance with the Terms of Service and allowed by such other sites, so that others can come and enjoy being part of the community too.
Please Don't
- Don't upload anything that isn't yours.
This includes other people's photos, video and/or stuff you've collected from around the internet. - Don't forget we are a general audience site.
If you would hesitate to show the material you are posting to your neighbor, coworker, mother or other family members that means it is probably not suitable for the MyFinePix community. - Don't show nudity in any of the content you upload onto the Site.
- Don't upload any content that is illegal or prohibited or that depicts illegal or prohibited acitivity.
If we find you doing that, your account may be terminated with or without warning and your content may be removed; further action may be taken as well. - Don't use the Site to vent your frustrations to the point where it offends others.
The MyFinePix forum is here for you to share your views regarding photography. It is not a venue for you to harass or abuse others. If we receive a complaint about your conduct, we may send you a warning or terminate your account. - Don't use your account to host web graphics like logos and banners.
Your account may be terminated if we find you using it to host graphic elements of web page designs, icons, smilies, buddy icons, forum avatars, badges, and other non-photographic elements on external web sites. - Don't use MyFinePix for commercial purposes.
MyFinePix is for personal use only. If we find you selling products or services through the Site, we may terminate your account.
For minor violations of these Guidelines, we may send you a warning. Further reports of you not playing by the community rules or serious violations can result in account termination with or without warning and the possible removal of any content you posted on the Site.
Here are some other things to keep in mind:
Other members' content and behavior
Despite our efforts to set out these clear Guidelines, you may still come across postings that offend you. If you are offended by a photo or post you have the option to report the content by clicking on the reporting link for such content and selecting the option that best applies to the reason you are reporting such posting. In most cases, you will be directed to a free text field in which you can give us additional information.
Copyright and trademark infringements
Copyright and trademark infringements should be reported as specified in the Site’s Copyright and Trademark Policy.
In Conclusion
We have published these Guidelines to help everyone in the MyFinePix community have the experience they want. It's important that you understand the importance of moderating your content responsibly.
